Applications: Cover letters, resumes, application status
Messages: Content of messages sent through our in-app messaging and support chat
Assessment responses: Answers to skills assessments and personality tests
Payment information: Processed by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers

Information Collected Automatically

Usage data: Pages visited, features used, job views, application activity
Device information: Browser type, operating system, device model
Network information: IP address, approximate location derived from IP
Login activity: Login timestamps, IP addresses, last active time
Referral tracking: Click counts and attribution data for referral and bounty links

Operate the Platform: Create accounts, display profiles, match jobs with candidates, facilitate applications and messaging
Process payments: Handle subscriptions, one-time purchases, and bounty payouts

With Other Users

Worker profiles are visible to Employers based on their subscription plan
Employer company information is visible on job postings
Messages are visible to the conversation participants
You control whether your email and phone are publicly displayed via profile settings

With Service Providers

We share data with trusted third parties who help us operate the Platform:

Supabase — Database hosting, authentication, and file storage
Stripe — Payment processing (receives your email, name, and payment details)
SendGrid — Email delivery (receives your email address and name)
Vercel — Website hosting and content delivery
Sentry — Error monitoring and performance tracking (receives anonymized technical data)

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following cookies:

Authentication cookies: Required for login sessions (managed by Supabase)
Referral tracking cookies: referral_code and bounty_ref — used to attribute signups to the person who shared the link (30-day duration, HTTP-only)

We use Sentry for error tracking and performance monitoring. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels for ad targeting.

6. Data Security

We protect your data through:

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
Row-level security policies on our database ensuring users can only access their own data
Secure authentication with email verification
Role-based access controls for administrative functions
Regular security monitoring and error tracking

No system is 100% secure. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

Active accounts: Data is retained as long as your account is active
Deleted accounts: We use soft deletion. Your data may be retained for up to 90 days after account deletion for recovery purposes, after which it is permanently removed
Billing records: Retained as required by tax and financial regulations
Referral attribution: Bounty attribution records expire after the attribution window (default 30 days)
Support messages: Retained for the life of your account

You have the right to:

Access your personal data through your profile and settings pages
Correct inaccurate information by editing your profile
Delete your account and associated data
Export your data — contact us to request a data export
Withdraw consent for optional data processing (e.g., email notifications via your notification preferences)

10. Children's Privacy

Skilled.ph is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.
